The 17-year veteran of the police force and another officer responded to a call for help at 57 Mountain View Drive at 10:22 p.m. Thursday. Both officers were met at the single family home off Main Street by a female resident identified by a friend as Mary Fletcher, the homeowner, according to state police.
The officers entered the home and determined that the male suspect was in the basement. When the officers descended the stairs, Lavery was shot several times by the suspect with an automatic rifle.
There was no other Officer! If a fellow ran with his tail between his legs, like the media JUSTIFIES, he should have been arrested, fired, no pension! Officer Lavery was soon to retire! They didn't want to give Pamela his pension either! She had to fight for it, as painful as it was and I think she won eventually - after the state wasted millions withholding it! They wanted to reduce her to nothing, get her to remarry, but she didn't! That's what happens when the world turns so cold to a very loving person who was married to a very loving person.
The other officer retreated with Fletcher and called for backup, according to the state police.

Chris Lambert is a great example of what citizenship is about. If that sheriff was on the payroll at the time she came up missing, the case would have been cracked. They would have found her body - I presume she was badly mutilated and Flores' dna was all over it. My sympathies to the Smart family, especially if Kristen was a virgin. Most likely they slipped the date-rape drug, Ecstasy, on her. Those who were perverts in power humored themselves to get her "knocked-up" - I bet.
